Terms and conditions

These terms and conditions apply to orders and services from Analog Film Lab by Foto Americaine, Wagenstraat 41, 2512 AP The Hague.

Orders and agreement

An agreement is formed once an order has been placed through our webshop and confirmed by us. The customer is responsible for correctly entering contact, order and delivery details.

Prices and payment

The prices displayed in the webshop are the applicable consumer prices at the time of ordering. Any shipping costs and additional services selected are shown before the order is completed.

Developing, scanning and printing

Analogue film is sensitive, and each film may differ in age, storage, exposure and technical condition. We process films carefully and in accordance with our usual professional procedures. A specific photographic result cannot be guaranteed when quality is affected by factors such as underexposure or overexposure, expired or damaged film, light leaks, camera faults or previous storage conditions.

When processing unique or irreplaceable originals, we make every effort to prevent damage or loss. If, despite normal care, something demonstrably goes wrong due to an error on our part, we assess the complaint individually and statutory liability applies.

Digital files

Check downloaded scans upon receipt and keep your own backup copy. We do not retain digital files indefinitely. Deletion after a reasonable retention period may form part of our normal business operations.

Right of withdrawal and custom work

Standard physical products are subject to the statutory rules for distance purchases. For services already performed at the customer's request and products made to the customer's specifications or personalised, the statutory right of withdrawal may be limited or excluded to the extent permitted by law. This applies, for example, to film developing, scans and custom photographic prints already completed.

Privacy

We process personal data in accordance with our privacy and GDPR policy.

Applicable law

Agreements with us are governed by Dutch law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights applicable to the customer.
