Hi, how can we help?

Drop off film
Where can I drop off my film?
You can hand in film at our store, send it by post or use our 24/7 Dropbox. See the Dropbox page for current information.
Do I need to order online first?
Ordering online is convenient because your options are recorded in advance, but depending on how you hand in your film you can also contact us first or visit the store.
What should I include with my film?
Always include your name, email address and order number if you have one. This helps us match your film to the correct order quickly.
Order status & turnaround
How long does developing and scanning take?
C-41 and black-and-white are generally ready within 1–2 working days. E-6 slide film is processed in batches and can take longer.
How can I track my film?
Use our Track your film page to check the status of your order.
Still waiting for your scans?
First check your spam folder and Track your film. If the expected turnaround time has passed, fill in this form so we can find your order faster.
Developing & scanning
Which film types do you develop?
We process C-41 colour film, black-and-white film and E-6 slide film, among others. Multiple film formats are supported.
What is the difference between Standard Scan and Ultra Scan?
Standard Scan is suitable for everyday use and online sharing. Ultra Scan is intended for larger prints, archiving and extra detail at a higher resolution.
Are my scans automatically corrected?
Our scanners apply limited, natural corrections. If you want minimal correction or extra attention, mention this with your order.
Recognising film problems
Why are my photos very dark or grainy?
This can indicate underexposure, difficult lighting, an ISO mismatch or a combination of these. The negative usually gives the clearest indication of the cause.
How do I recognise a light leak?
Light leaks often appear as red, orange or white bands entering from the edge of the image. They can be caused by worn camera seals or light reaching the film.
Can expired film still be developed?
Yes. Expired film can produce colour shifts, extra grain or reduced sensitivity, so the results are less predictable than with fresh film.
Shipping & negatives
How do I send film safely?
Use a sturdy envelope or box, protect loose film rolls and include your contact details and order number. See Delivery & shipping costs for more information.
Can I get my negatives back?
Yes. Depending on your selected order options, negatives can be collected or returned by post. Check your order options or contact us.
Still need help?
Send us your question with as much information as possible, such as your order number, film type and what you are seeing.
